Kibella patients at first experience some pain, usually rated 4-6 on a scale of 1-10, for a total of 5-7 hours starting about halfway through the injections, made very tolerable with pain medicine taken prior.

Next, they experience swelling, which can get huge if there was a large amount of fat, which peaks at 18-24 hours after injection and is largely gone after two days after the procedure. Some of the swelling can go down into the upper chest skin--but usually leaves by the end of the second day).

They will develop, often, some numbness in the treated area, which disappears within 45 days.

They often have tenderness-to-the-touch in the area for 45 days, which is not severe enough to interfere with daily life and working.

How Long Does the Coolsculpting Procedure Last and How Many Treatments Are Needed?

CoolSculpting uses cooling energy to freeze fat cells in commonly treatment areas, including the abdomen, thighs, and flants. Destroyed fat cells are naturally removed by the body’s waste removal processes, leading to noticeable fat loss over the course of one to three months.
